The story behind Work Your Art
– Getting artists out of office jobs and into their studios
After graduating from art school, I saw a lot of people my age end up in office jobs, doing things that had nothing to do with art, and trying to make art in their meager time off. I spent a lot of time obsessing over entrepreneurship, taking courses on audience building, sales and engagement and started making a living just making art.
No boring jobs, just art. When people asked me how I did it, I gave them a passionate lecture of approximately three hours, tiring them with my enthusiasm (and I still do, sorry guys). So that’s why I decided to take it a step further and create an online course in which I teach people how to do the same.
p.s: If you have any questions, you can always drop me a note, I will be happy to brainstorm with you about your ideas and answer any questions you might have. I respond to *every* email, from silly to serious. The sillier, the better, even. debbie@workyourart.com
